What about a mountain?
Would a mountain be enough?
Mountains are bigger then men.
Most trees are bigger then men,
but not all.
In third grade we adopted trees.
Everyone wanted the one that was wilted
and dying.
What fun is there in having a tree
that is already flourishing?
Is the loss of someone bigger greater?
Mass times cigarettes smoked
times time spent together
times time not spent together
times the mountains and the trees
and times me.
I remember:
in the midwest there are no mountains.
Is a cornfield enough?
